This calibration has reduced the reflected power during switched processes, which should help the drop out problem but the reflected power is higher for the unswitched processes. When using the electromagnet for short switching time processes, such as 2s/3s, the pre-set settings for the coil matching are critical to avoid dropouts. If you are having problems with using the electromagnet, increase the dep time, improve the pre-set tuning and load settings and then reduce the dep time.
To reduce the sensitive to the pre-set match settings, I will need to retune the PhaseMag Detector again using higher power levels and allowing the detector to heat up before tuning. Before doing this, I would like to see how the system runs for a while.
